News: Largo, Florida considering gender identity protection

The city of Largo, Florida is rumored to be considering an ordinance that would protect residents against employment and other discrimination on the basis of gender identity, as well as sexual orientation. A 2003 proposal was narrowly defeated.

Three other jurisdictions in Florida prohibit discrimination on the basis of gender identity: Key West, Miami Beach, and Monroe County.
