Diversity's Inc. Top 10 GLB-but-not-necessarily-T Companies

Diversity Inc. released its 2006 list of "The Top 10 Companies for GLBT Employees" today.

These are, in order:

JPMorgan Chase
Bank of America
Ernst & Young
SunTrust Banks
Cingular Wireless

However, it is surprising to note that Deloitte, Cingular and Safeco's EEO policies do not include transgender employees. As of today, there are 68 Fortune 500 companies on HRC's list that received the top score of 100 in the Corporate Equality Index. The top score of 100 requires, among other things, that the EEO policy include gender identity. With so many top-scoring companies to choose from, it is a wonderment why the last three companies, which all received a score of 86, are included here.
