The bill has been referred to various House committees: Education and Labor, House Administration, Oversight and Government Reform, and Judiciary, for consideration of provisions that fall within the jurisdiction of each. I imagine they will issue reports in a couple of months.

Reverend Lou Sheldon of the Traditional Values coalition said in a newspaper interview that the bill is not needed because there is no discrimination. The National Employment Lawyers Association, however, in their press release, cite some interesting examples of discrimination. Lambda Legal has referenced 1000 calls received regarding discrimination in 2006.
