Quick take: Court defers to agency on “aged-out” immigrants : SCOTUSblog

This decision has a cruel result, but it may bode well for future deference to EEOC rulings favoring trans employees. The decision says that deference is owed by courts to Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) decisions. Here, the BIA interpreted the statute to mean that grandchildren of US citizens who reach 21 must start their own petition to stay in the US, going to the back of the long, long, long immigration line.
