This case in North Carolina federal court shows the importance of identifying proof of discrimination. It’s not enough to say that you were a good employee passed over for promotion and plum assignments. You have to show that it was because of your sex (or other protected category) in that they said something to so indicate, or that similarly-situated people of other sex were promoted.
