It has long been a question as to whether the transgender community really constitutes a "community", as commonly understood to mean a coherent group with common interests. Helen Boyd blogged yesterday about the Trans for Obama fundraiser; it was a surprisingly strong effort for a marginalized community, and I think it deserves further study.
